I love the flower prints selected. Subtle not too in your face. There are actually a couple of dresses here I want to have myself.

Food Obsession: Korean BBQ

I have this crazy obsession with Korean food. Yes, its hot but its my kind of hot. I even learned how to make fresh kimchi because I just love having it with every meal with rice. I think the only way to make this Korean food obsession stop is to put dog bark collars

Another favorite would be Korean BBQ. It’s just awesome!! Thankfully there are lots and lots of Korean bbq places where I live and I think we eat Korean at least a few times per week!!

Here’s from the latest eating marathon..

I’m absolutely cray cray over the bbq and checked out recipes I could try so I could make them at home. I found this recipe to be simple and easy. I just usually add sesame seeds. (Via About )

Ingredients:

  • 1 onion, minced
  • 2 Tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 Tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 4 Tbsp red pepper paste (kochujang)
  • 5 Tbsp sugar
  • 2 Tbsp rice wine
  • 2 tsp minced ginger

The Bridged Gardens in Tianjin China

All right, my search for kitchen cabinet organizers online would need to wait. Lol. I just want to feature this beauty.

It’s hardly spectacular or out of this world but I love this design. It all looks cozy, cheery and very conducive to hang around in the seating area on this park.

I find it absolutely beautiful, a rather graceful building. Check out more photos at The Contemporist.

Food: Egg Drop Soup

This classic recipe is not only popular in China but all over Asia. I grew up on this and nothing really spells comfort food that this. There are lots of variations to this but I particularly like this version with an added cornstarch for slight thickening.

Egg Drop Soup Recipe and photo from Taste of Home.

Chinese Egg Drop Soup

You’d need:

3 cups chicken broth
1 tablespoon cornstarch
2 tablespoons cold water
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 green onion, sliced

  1. In a large saucepan, bring broth to a boil over medium heat. Combine cornstarch and water until smooth; gradually stir into broth. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened.
  2. Reduce heat. Drizzle beaten egg into hot broth, stirring constantly. Remove from the heat; stir in onion.

It’s quick and very easy to make. And best of all, kids love this!

Bette Franke on W Korea November 2013

A friend commented that he noticed a whole lot of Asian fashion magazines featured still have majority Caucasian ladies on cover. Hmm. True that. I don’t really know why. He said it would make things a lot more unique if they keep it balanced and have more Oriental featured models on cover and on its editorial. Makes sense to me, but perhaps there is a ‘business’ or maybe an ‘artistic’ reason for their choices. Those are things I can’t fathom the reasons for, so I’d rather not try. I’d have better luck guessing what Reeds.com for Tacori semi mounts would be.

Here’s a cover from W Korea for November 2013 featuring Bette Franke lensed by Catherine Servel.
