Korea’s Wonder Girls Makes the List of 100 Things To Watch In 2010

JWT Intelligence, a global marketing communications network announced that South Korean girl group Wonder Girls made it to the list of 100 Things to Watch in 2010.

JWT remarks in their website that, “With their good looks, slick packaging, infectious pop songs and trend-setting videos, this South Korean girl group has conquered Asia and has its sights on the rest of the world.” Check out their list here..

“It’s a nice surprise that Wonder Girls attracted the attention of the world-class ad company less than one year after they made their American debut,” said JYP Entertainment, the agency behind Wonder Girls. ”It’s meaningful that it acknowledged their potential.”

No surprise for me though when I keep hearing the non-stop airplay of their song Nobody, Nobody on radios almost everywhere..

2009 Cosplay Competition Final in Guilin, China

Over 30 teams took part in the 2009 Cosplay Competition in Guilin, southwest China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Dec. 25, 2009. They competed for top prizes, best styling, best performance and best property.

Cosplay or costume play is a kind of performance art where participants don costumes and style themselves to  represent a character. Cosplayers are typically fans of Japanese comic books. While this creative event has started in Japan, it has slowly gathered an audience and following in many countries.

Ice and Snow World, Harbin China

The fantastic Ice and Snow World opened to tourists last December 24th in in Harbin, capital of northeast China’s Heilongjiang Province. The freezing park covers an area of 600,000 square meters and presents over 2,000 ice and snow sculptures.

Kumi Koda to Perform at 2009 Kohaku Koda Special

Koda KumiJapanese singer-songwriter Koda KumiJapanese singer/songwriter Koda Kumi, 27, is set to perform for the first time with sister Misono, 25, at the “2009 Kohaku Koda Special”.It will be on NHK’s 60th annual New Year’s Eve special, “Kohaku Uta Gassen” (Red and White Song Contest).

Koda will first sing her single “Lick Me,” and then welcome misono on stage. The pair will perform the Oricon chart-topping duet, “It’s all Love!”

Just so you can have an idea hot Japanese songstress will heat up the Kohaku, watch Koda Kumi performing “Lick Me” live in Taiwan..
