JWT Intelligence, a global marketing communications network announced that South Korean girl group Wonder Girls made it to the list of 100 Things to Watch in 2010.
JWT remarks in their website that, “With their good looks, slick packaging, infectious pop songs and trend-setting videos, this South Korean girl group has conquered Asia and has its sights on the rest of the world.” Check out their list here..
“It’s a nice surprise that Wonder Girls attracted the attention of the world-class ad company less than one year after they made their American debut,” said JYP Entertainment, the agency behind Wonder Girls. ”It’s meaningful that it acknowledged their potential.”
No surprise for me though when I keep hearing the non-stop airplay of their song Nobody, Nobody on radios almost everywhere..
Hi! Nice to see you're back here. You may want to subscribe to my RSS feed to get easily updated. Thanks!I must admit Beijing does not come to mind when it comes to beautiful autumn landscapes but I was surprised to see that it does have a stunning autumn scenery. Here’s some photos from Yanqi Township of Huairou District of Beijing, China.
The mountainside looks like a painting canvass awash with colors of autumn..
After some legal troubles, Rain, also know as Bi, is not about to be disheartened. After all, Korea(plus a whole lot of countries too!) loves hime. Just recently he has been appointed as Korea’s Global Goodwill Ambassador. Quoting from K-popped..

Rain is definitely Korea’s darling!
The appointment was held at 4:50pm on 09 June, 2009 at Seoul City Hall Annex (in one of the conference rooms). The appointment was initially scheduled for 25th May but was postponed due to the death of Korean former president Roh Moo-hyun.
Rain is chosen because it is believed that the 27-year old star is highly influential and will be able to market the city of Seoul internationally. Rain has been voted as U.S. Time Magazines 100 most influential people in the world and will be in the Hollywood movie Ninja Assassin (which will be released by end 2009).
Also, Rain appeared twice in the “world class” documentary channel Discovery (yes, he was featured in Hip Korea) and was named “master of the Korean Wave” (okay, i know others who have contributed to the Korean wave, so this is a highly debatable).
Congratulations Bi!

Unesco’s Cultural Heritage Administration said that the International Council on Monuments and Sites has recommended the inclusion of 40 royal tombs from the Chosun dynasty in the list of World Heritage sites. The final listing will be determined at the 33rd session of the UNESCO World Heritage Commission in Seville, Spain on June 22-30.
The tombs are those of 27 Chosun kings and their queens which showcases a rare preservation of an entire royal lineage. If listed, the Chosun tombs will bring Korea’s World Heritage sites to nine, including the Jongmyo Shrine and the Seokguram Grotto.
More of these at The Chosun Ilbo.
Hello! Ni hao! Konnichiwa! Chao! Mabuhay!
I’m PinkSushi and welcome to Pinkchopsticks! This blog is all about living, exploring and celebrating all things Asian. Why Asia? I am an Asian. I was born and raised in the Philippines and now I’m living in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. I am proudly Asian.
Traveling around different Asian countries made me realize just how unique and diverse Asia is. Not only in geography and natural environment, but also in people, languages, culture and traditions, lifestyle and more.
Asia is the world’s largest continent and covers about 30% of the worlds total land area. Asians make up about 3/5 of the world’s population with more than 4 billion people. So what could be better than exploring the richness in culture and diversity of the Asian region?
I’ll be making regular updates on Asian culture and traditions, trivia, fun finds, travel and places, cuisine, lifestyle, technology and innovation, latest news, well just about anything Asian.
As for the site name – Pinkchopsticks, Pink, because well I’m a girl and I love pink. Chopsticks, I asked several people what are the first words that come up to their minds when they hear the word Asia, and I got several answers of: chopsticks! Hence the name Pinkchopsticks. I’ll also be using the penname PinkSushi.Hmmn, obviously, I love Japanese sushi..
Thanks for visiting this site and hope you stick around and visit again. I’d really appreciate it if you can drop me a comment or a suggestion on how I could improve the site as well as topic suggestions. Do get regular updates from Pinkchopsticks, subscribe to my feed..
