GM Daewoo’s Luxury Sedan Alpheon

Lots and lots of new and uber stylish cars being unveiled but oh well, competition is nice and now aside from just your daily-average looking cars, Korean GM Daewoo has unveiled its much awaited luxury sedan Alpheon. GM Daewoo is the South Korean counterpart of US automobile manufacturer, General Motors Co.

The Alpheon luxury sedan, though is considered a localized GM’s Buick LaCrosse, has been modified and enhanced to suit the needs of discerning, and choosy buyers, what GM Daewoo refers to as ” the most sophisticated luxury car buyers in Korea”.

So what makes this extra special, to merit the distinction of being called a luxury sedan? Hmm, does it have a bed and an oh so soft mattress? Hehe forgive me for asking, coz shhh I must admit that is what I’ll consider a luxury.. Anyway, the Alpheon comes with ” 3.0-liter Spark-Ignition Direct Injection, or SIDI, engine that allows maximum fuel efficiency with lower emissions while producing an overwhelming 263 horsepower at its peak, the highest in its segment here.”

It also boasts of top notch interior and exterior designs and an array of features. Among these are 12-way power-adjustable driver’s seat and a tri-zone air conditioning system that enables three different temperature settings for the driver, front passenger and passengers in the back.

The Alpheon CL300 and EL300 is expected to be in the market starting Sept 7th. So how much will it cost? CL300 will fetch US$30,700 while EL300 will go for $32,630.

An ‘lighter’ and more affodable version is set to be launched in October. Visit GM Daewoo Korea for more
