She’s hands down my favorite Korean actress. I dunno, there’s just something about her that I find so appealing. I know some actresses lovelier than her but she just captivates me. She’s also an avid fashionista which is something that I really like and she’s a pretty good actress to boot. I’m so excited about her upcoming drama with another one of my favorites Kang Ji Hwan.

She also does well as a model and since she started out as a singer in a girl group Baby V.O.X. she can also sing! I suppose there’s no end to this lovely lady’s talents.. But anyway, here she is modeling for a photo spread on a China based magazine – BQ.

Lovely. Refreshing. Makes me wistful and think back on college days…Hmm, which reminds me, I do have to do a bit of searching for college flags. So I have to say, Ciao! in a bit. More posts later.

Chocolate is the latest girl group to debut, with members from US, Korea and China. So they are dubbed then as the ‘global girl group’.

Sigh! So here’s another girl group. I’m steeling myself to give them the benefit of the doubt and see how they fare against the hordes of girl groups cropping left and right.
Anyway, the group is launching their debut single ‘What to Do’ and here’s the music video. So, what do you think? Do they have what it takes to hold it on their own?

I must say I was a bit disappointed, having read all the hype surrounding them and them bagging an endorsement with an expensive clothing line- Nuzzon, they are not exactly that brilliant, more like ‘just ok’ and not a standout, they should have made a better production jobs out of this debut song. But oh well, let’s wait and see

Korean bands/groups are sprouting out just about everytime, and I’m beginning to think of them as mushrooms lol! Anyway, its getting harder and harder to keep track of them, plus the fact that they are beginning to look all alike so it does help if a group has a certain unique appeal to make them more memorable.

Five-member girl group, KARA debuted in 2007 and I think its a pretty impressive feat for a group to have a number one song – ‘Honey’ considering the tough competition they are facing. Since last year too, KARA has been making headway towards venturing in the international market and just recently, they have ventured into the Japanese entertainment market.
Here’s their recently released dance music video of their hit song ‘Mister’ (Japanese Version)..

And here’s the earlier MV of the same song..

I must admit this is the first MV I’ve seen of this group and they are quite memorable. Of course, it helps that the girls are lookers and would look great on apple bottoms, they are also good dancers and decent vocals. I think this girl group will go the distance. Read more on Kara on the wiki page as well as their own website.

At last! I’ve been waiting for a new release from Wonder Girls and yes! they did keep us waiting for sometime. Am I the only one who thinks Nobody was getting too old already? And to think it has been playing on the airwaves since 2008 so its just high time for South Korean phenomenal girl group to release a new single.

Wonder Girls 2 Different Tears
And the latest is a disco-inspired track 2 Different Tears and the song was recorded in no less than three languages – English, Korean and Mandarin.
Check out the MV (English version). I love it! So retro!

Glad to see the Wonder Girls back and on the roll..

JWT Intelligence, a global marketing communications network announced that South Korean girl group Wonder Girls made it to the list of 100 Things to Watch in 2010.

JWT remarks in their website that, “With their good looks, slick packaging, infectious pop songs and trend-setting videos, this South Korean girl group has conquered Asia and has its sights on the rest of the world.” Check out their list here..
“It’s a nice surprise that Wonder Girls attracted the attention of the world-class ad company less than one year after they made their American debut,” said JYP Entertainment, the agency behind Wonder Girls. ”It’s meaningful that it acknowledged their potential.”
No surprise for me though when I keep hearing the non-stop airplay of their song Nobody, Nobody on radios almost everywhere..
