I love this cover. It’s lovely. Arresting enough that I forgot I have to do a search for Thermarest NeoAir and spent and inordinate amount of time looking at this cover for Singles Korea July 2011. Perhaps its that flowy orange dress or maybe its the purple {you know I loooove purple!} text, but for some reason this cover appeals to me.

Featuring model Carolin Loosen and photographed by Joel Lim. I only have one complaint, Carolin is too thin. I can practically see her ribs! Other than that, this is a lovely mag cover.

I’m still on Asian fashion magazine editorials hunt. And here’s the most recent crop. Uh oh, I just found the February 2011 issue editorial later than the March issue. Lol! And I’m loving it. I find it so elegant and glamorous, and those red accessories are just so boldly stunning. Beautiful, dramatic and oh so delicate looks.

Tis the reason why I love fashion glossies. It’s nice seeing glam fashion once in a while in lieu of bath towel draped looks. Will post more featured editorials soon.

Yup. You read the title right. It’s a Welcome To Japan Bra!

I think this is a justifiable reason for me to get distracted hmmm? I was about to search online for some modern coffee table design ideas when it occurred to me to check out the latest news feeds from Asia. And I this of course, caught my eye..

As Japan hosts the Asia-Pacific summit, underwear maker Triumph unveiled a bra that is meant to lift spirits as well as bust lines and support the country’s tourism sector.

Triumph says that this unique bra was inspired by a tour guide’s uniform, features a display for images of sightseeing spots and can greet visitors in three languages. “A row of three electronic push buttons running down the centre of the garment triggers audio greetings in English, Chinese and Korean. The most risque feature is a short skirt attached to the dark blue outfit that flips up to reveal a map of Japan.”

The bra though is not for sale but mainly for promotional purposes only and like other promotional items before it has been has launched to mark major trends and events.

I think I’m still having some residual withdrawal symptoms from watching the K-drama My Girlfriend is a Gumiho. That’s the main reason I’m posting Giordano Korea’s Fall 2010 Photo Still with of course, the Gumiho Girlfriend – Shin Min Ah, and also Tiger JK, So Ji Sub.

And after a few minutes of ogling the trio, I find myself spazzing for Tiger JK!!! How can this guy be so hot! He’s just so manly and like 500F hot!

I have yet to visit Ipoh, Malaysia but I’ve been itching to do so for the last year or so. My primary reason for wanting so? Their famous Ipoh White Coffee! I’ve heard lots of yummy feedback from people who have tried this and being coffee-addicted myself, I really wanna give it a try..

I was browsing the net and searching for travel information on Ipoh Malaysia and I came across Explore Ipoh website and I was interested in their feature on their white coffee..

What makes Ipoh White Coffee different? It’s all in the roasting process!

white coffee is roasted from 100% coffee bean with only margarine. As a result, it shows a lighter color and thus getting its famous name.

Hmm, I wonder if I ever get to visit the place, could I buy perhaps a box of roasted white coffee? I sure would like to bring home a lot coz it sounds really delicious. I’ve better get ready my box cutter, just in case lol!

In case you are wondering why I want to visit this place, well its not just because of the coffee its also known as the ‘Hill City’ so I expect dramatic vistas and tranquil scenery, its also because unlike those super touristy places, its not crowded, everything looks serene and you can get a taste of what is really the Ipoh culture sans the tourist money traps..

Curiosity! That’s the reason why I’m posting this. I’m a mad online shopper and one of the sites I can’t live without is eBay. But if you’ve been lurking and buying from eBay from sometime, you’ll soon realize that a big number of sellers there are from Asia, most notably China. These sellers are just everywhere and they are doing good business judging by the transactions they have. They sell everything from apparel, electronics, craft supplies even e-cigarettes! I think I won’t be exaggerating if I say, name it and they have it

So I’ve been thinking perhaps goodies from over here in Asia are priced more competitively and I was also wondering if there are really legitimate Asian shopping sites where its safe to shop online and at wholesale prices.

I’m particularly looking for Asian clothes since some of my nieces are really so into that funky Asian street wear, some like those Japanese gothic/Lolita style and as for me, I have developed a liking for those really feminine Korean tops and dresses. And a lot of bags and shoes are also nice.

It’s surprising really that upon searching online, there are literally hundreds if not thousands of Aisan shopping sites! But which ones are legit and quite frankly I’m scared to purchase without learning about others experiences but also I’m excited at the prospect of shopping Asian! Sites like lightinthebox.com, dhgate.com, zipia.net, yesstyle.com etc are just some of the places online I’ve just recently discovered and I’m keen to try them out.

Will be listing sites I discover soon and would be posting reviews also of each site I’ve tried to purchase from..

For some reason, a considerable portion of my daily site traffic comes from the search terms related to BoA Kwon. Lol! And I’m about to take advantage of that.. Why not? After all, BoA is one Aisan artist I really really admire.
