2 New Sharp Android Smartphones for Chinese Market

Here’s another techie update, before I move on to featuring entertainment, Asian lifestyle news. Tapas OS, the Chinese-centric Android based OS for smartphones is now available on 2 new handsets, both from Sharp.

SH828U, a 3G phone that comes with a 3.5” WVGA screen, a 5Mpix Camera with AF and flash, Bluetooth, WiFi, and microSD slot, powered by a 600MHz Qualcomm MSM7227 processor. This is slated to be available to the Chinese market this October 2010 with estimated price of US$475.

Meanwhile, the SH8118U comes with the very same 600MHz Qualcomm MSM7227 processor and basic specs but only features a 3.2” HVGA screen and will be sold at US$335 to be available in China about the same time as the SH828U.

Cool gadgets and I’m getting quite dizzy with the staggering array of features these gadgets have, I wouldn’t be surprised they’d be sporting radar detectors sometime soon. Now, that’s it for techo gadgets updates..

Korea’s iStation unveils its 3D PMP and two new Android PMP.

I guess this won’t even stop to boggle my mind. I mean technology and gadgetry is just so dynamic, one day you see this the next day its obsolete and another one is being touted the gadget of the year. And impressively, Asian companies are touting up a lot of impressive gadgetry innovations that could definitely give their Western counterpart a run for their money.

Here’s one recently revealed, iStation Korea has three news Android Base (Android 2.1) PMP! And one of them 3D capable. And I think they look just gorgeous and super sleek!

Introducing, Z3D! It’s iStation’s first 3D capable PMP device running on Android 2.1. It boasts of 7” WVGA (800×480) 3D (which would require one to wear glasses..), 256MB of DD2 RAM, Wi-Fi B/G Bluetooth 2.0, DMB, G Sensor and sold in either 32 or 64GB, our Z3D comes with a 500mAh Battery. A 32 GB Z3D i-Station is expected to be out in the Korean market by November at a cost of a whooping 600,000 Won, roughly US$500.

Then we have Buddy, an Android 2.1 PMP, featuring a 5” WVGA (800×408) screen, 256MB of DDR2, available in 16 or 32GB, Wi-Fi B/G, Bluetooth 2.0, FM Radio, Micro SD Slot and a 30000mAh battery. Will be sold in Korea starting this month of September for about 300,000 Won, about US$250.

The third one, is Dude, an Android 2.1 PMP, with 256MB of RAM, a 5” WVGA (800×480) screen, a 3Mpix Camera, HDMI out, Wi-Fi B/G, Bluetooth 2.0, Radio, GPS, G Sensor and also available in 16 or 32GB. “Dude’ will be available in November and a 16GB version will cost 400,000 Won or US$335.

It also includes a dedicated shortcut key on the keypads for one-click access to social networking sites. Aside from that it also includes dedicated shortcut keys for e-mail, the web browser and instant messaging.
